Brandy is the Health Information Program Manager and an Associate Professor at the Leesburg campus.
About reading, Brandy says, "From my earliest memories, reading has been a big part of my life. I remember using a flashlight to read under the covers. Through high school, I loved reading – even textbooks and the word problems in math. During college I worked for our county library. I loved my shifts at our small branch libraries because in between patrons, I was allowed to read. Some of the patrons loved to discuss books with me. Today, I own a Kindle and use it when I can’t easily carry a book but I still love the feel of turning pages better than the simulated version. I enjoy reading and writing as much as I always have. One of the great benefits of being an educator is being paid to stay current on reading and writing in my discipline and then, reading for pleasure to relax.”
